Tropical Salad/Ensalada tropical


The pumpkins are back!! It’s officially fall at the markets, so stop by, grab some delicious apples and some celery, and try your hand at this fun tropical salad! It was a huge hit at the Marble Hill Youthmarket this week!


  • 2 cups apple, cubed
  • 2 cups celery, cubed or sliced
  • 1 avocado, cubed
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup pineapple, cubed with juice (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. toasted almond slivers (optional)
  • 1 tsp. lemon

Directions: Mix the celery, apple and pineapple together in a large bowl. Dress with olive oil and salt and set aside. Add avocado and almonds just before serving. Enjoy!




  • 2 tazas de manzana picado
  • 3 tazas de apio picado
  • 1 aguacate, cortado en cubos
  • 2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva
  • Un poquito de sal
  • 1 cucharadita jugo de limon
  • 1 taza de piña con el jugo, cortado en cubos (optativo)
  • 2 cucharadas de almendras tostadas (optativo)


Preparación: Mezcla el apio, la manzana y la piña en una fuente grande. Aliñar con el aceite y la sal y dejar la ensalada 15 minutos. Añadir el aguacate y los almendras antes de servir. ¡Disfruta!
